“Our Story”
Rocky Mountain Minority Contractors Association (RMMCA) was founded in 2005 to address the low participation of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE's) on public works projects and to shine a light on the underrepresented community of DBE's. Since RMMCA's inception in 2005, the association has created a presence in the community, becoming an invaluable resource for Regional Transportation District (RTD), Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), and the City and County of Denver on matters of DBE participation. Through the years, RMMCA has provided the DBE community with invaluable training programs ranging from project management to business management to capacity building programs, which stand to provide minority contractors with the required knowledge and tools needed to effectively perform and sustain on public projects. RMMCA has also partnered with Colorado Contractors Association (CCA), the largest and most recognized civil construction trade association in Colorado for prime contractors in order to build those important relationships between prime and sub contractors.
RMMCA is now embarking on a new initiative that will create a one of a kind network that supports all DBE's and builds a unique relationship with prime contractors through email notices on available contracting opportunities, industry news, networking events, training programs and more. With the help of CCA and our members this program will give DBE's the opportunity to grow their businesses to the next level.
